Robert Arsenault posted a blog postDue to some unfortunate circumstances, too few players, as in only 7, and too few brews, as in nada, zip, zero (I know - I still can't believe this one), were able to make it to Prospect Field Sunday night for the Men's Orthodox Softball league game between Picaroons (3-2) and BG Products (4-1). Making its first appearance of the season, ice cold Best Bitter propelled the Picaroons Men’s Orthodox Softball team to a second consecutive victory, this time 23-16 over Budlights at Kimble Park. Ironically, the cold suds got the bats red hot early as the team starting pushing 5 runs across the plate from the first inning onward. Equipped with our Best Bitter Bats (or as we call them the Triple B Threat), the team combined to crack 6 HRs, including an inside the parker. As such , we were…

One week after an uninspired performance at Prospect Field, the Picaroons Men’s Orthodox Softball team returned to diamond at the friendly confines of Kimble Park and decided the only way to redeem ourselves was to go right back out there with some Irish Red in the cooler. It proved to be the right choice as immediately the bats got the game started with 5 runs and the team rode solid pitching and stingy defense the rest of the way for a 12-4 win over The Right Spot.

In a game that saw more disagreements then a Judge Judy courtroom, the Picaroon’s men’s orthodox softball team moved above .500 with a hard fought 21-19 victory over the league’s defending champs on Sunday moving our record to 3W 2L. We started the game with 9 players but we ended it with only 8 as one…
